Synopsis:

When Bree Prescott arrives in the sleepy, lakeside town of Pelion, Maine, she hopes against hope that this is the place where she will finally find the peace she so desperately seeks. On her first day there, her life collides with Archer Hale, an isolated man who holds a secret agony of his own. A man no one else sees.
Archer’s Voice is the story of a woman chained to the memory of one horrifying night and the man whose love is the key to her freedom. It is the story of a silent man who lives with an excruciating wound and the woman who helps him find his voice. It is the story of suffering, fate, and the transformative power of love.

my-review

I saw the title and thought.. hmm this might be interesting And it was.

The story is about two people with baggage(pretty sure you guys know what that means) and the beautiful way they come out from their shells and recover. Usually its the boy bringing the innocent girl out to the world but here it is different and I liked it.

Bree Prescott has just literally run away from her home in Ohio after the disastrous events of her life in the past few months and she just wants to get away for a while, seeking peace. She thinks she’ll find it in Pelion, Maine. She meets a strange guy, who helps her pick her stuff up from the ground when her bag tore, and she feels an instant connection with him. Turns out, he’s Archer Hale-boy struck with tragedy, lost both his parents when he was a kid and someone who lives alone, under a guise of invisibility, not in communication with anyone in the society. Hardly anyone seems to know the details of what exactly happens. She’s drawn to him and slowly, slowly they begin to have a relationship.

The story has a couple moments where I went “oh,stars,no!” and in the second one, I admit, I started thinking why did I pick a novel ending badly. I even contemplated not completing it. So in advance to everyone who is going to read it- THIS BOOK ENDS HAPPY. DON’T GIVE UP. There was also a few moments where I thought the scene could have been written better but it’s okay.

On the whole, I like it and do recommend it.
